This kid.

Did I mention Jefferson is ONE.  I need to take a minute and record some of my thoughts about this sweet boy. It's kinda hard to describe how much love he gets around here. He is just SO CUTE. And sweet. And I've said it before, but I'll say it again. HAPPY.  He's happy to be picked up, happy if you throw a ball to him, happy if you stand him up on his fat little legs, happy if you give him food (REALLY HAPPY), happy if he finds a piece of yarn on the floor, happy to follow the kitty around and try to snuggle with her, happy playing in his crib before he falls asleep or after he wakes up. JUST really really happy.  Of course not always, he is a baby after all, but we take it and soak it all up. He fits in our family so well.  Mr J is not walking yet, but has started to pull himself up to stand. He still army crawls all over.  He loves to say "Ba!" and chase balls around after throwing them. He also loves the game where you give him something and he gives it back, repeat. Forever.  He will usually sit chilled out forever in his stroller if there are things to see.  His naps get interrupted ALL the time, but he's ok with it.  He gets super angry if anyone eats and he doesn't have any. He will start enthusiastically signing "more" and saying "nanananananananaaa" (he REALLY likes bananas). Harrison makes him laugh to the point of having hiccups pretty much every single day. Usually by jumping up and down in the crib while jefferson is in it.... I can also make him laugh pretty hard too, by blowing on him or tickling him. HE LOVES to be tickled.  And he also loves his mommy the best. Yep. It's true.  I kinda love it.

We love you so much Jefferson! We want you to stay this cute fun age forever, but at the same time can wait to see what an adorable fun kid you grow in to. Happy birthday around 26 days ago!!!!

Quick little trip

Even though it seemed a bit silly to drive twelve hours each way to spend two full days in Arizona I'm so glad we did! Cory had an old coworker get married Friday so it was the perfect excuse. We loved swimming in grandma and grandpas pool, seeing friends, visiting the children's museum, eating amazing tacos, and visiting grandpa at the aircraft museum where he volunteers. The weather was also absolutely amazing. The fancy pants wedding and night away from the kids wasn't bad either.

Helping me pack the day before we left .
Phew. I was worried the kids wouldn't fit In my suitcase.

Swinging brothers.

This kid loves the swings!!!
The awesome climbing structure at the children's museum. Thank you, designers, for making it mostly parent accessible.
Who's that baby??!
My little carter. The 'market' was overrun and crazy full of first graders on a field trip.. She found herself a quiet corner to organize canned food.
They had this awesome castle the kids could help paint. Such a fun idea!
Wedding selfie. Cory and I has a bit of a disagreement about his outfit .. Purple shirt, blue vest, blue tie, and these orange pants.. Yes ORANGE... We almost bought him some new gray pants but at the end of the day it totally worked and a well dressed Australian even complemented him. Rust is the new neutral apparently :)
Airplane museum. The best part for the kids was fighting over this pedal car.. Carter informed me she doesn't like these kinds of 'musemans' (you know... Ones that offer more education and less toys). I'll be buying a pass to the Leonardo when we get home...
This plane flew 16 missions in WWII. And now people can pay to take a ride. We got to watch it take off and land. Super cool.
Hot air balloons on the way out of town. Nice surprise!!
