Saturday we took Harrison to the park by our house so he could try the big swings for the first time. He loved it and did pretty well until he tried to get off and face planted...oops...
And someday maybe he will learn to look at the camera

Monday we took advantage of the federal holiday (cory was also off) and went down to the zoo. It was a little rainy but not too cold, plus we skipped out on the $15 parking and scored an awesome metered spot right in front of the zoo (and the meter was even broken-SWEET!)...later we went out to lunch and also got street parking in dupont--the zoo was fun, but the great parking in the city was AMAZING :)
PANDA!!! (Harrison's favorite animal was not the panda but was definitely the tiger....that definitely was not out..nonetheless he's been talking about tigers ever since...)
Cory's really mad about that tiger...just kidding...not sure what that face is all about...maybe it was when he made the mistake of mentioning that there was a popcorn stand and Harrison had to have some
checkin out the panda with his monkey coat and monkey leash
It's hard to see but there were like 6 baby lions that are playing on top of that "mountain" it was pretty fun to watch
(I realize I look incredibly tired in this picture---having a two year old wears me out but it is SO worth it!! (you'll also notice that harrison insisted on getting one of his forks out to "stir" [or taste] the cake batter...))

Monday night around 5 p.m. I realized we had whipped cream and strawberries that needed to be used. So of course Harrison and I had to make this It was as amazing as you would expect any cake with three sticks of butter and a package of cream cheese to be :)
