These cute kids are just growing up too fast. I can't believe Mr. J is ALMOST TWO. Life is crazy, but good. I'm back to working mostly full time for the last few months and I think it's mostly a good thing for all of us.
Harrison is doing great in school and (I think) learning lots of Chinese. He's also started free (YAY) online piano lessons which he LOVES. He finished his first season of basketball on an undefeated team and had a lot of fun. We are planning to start baseball in the spring.
Carter is doing great in dance and getting ready for her recital at the end of the year. She actually goes to class without being bribed now. She still struggles big time with me being in the primary presidency and actually sitting with her class rather than running up to the room and screaming and hiding under the table when I have to teach sharing time. Her teachers are wonderful. I feel for them. Next year she is officially going to kindergarten despite her October birthday. I've enrolled her in an all day kindergarten program at a Montessori school a few miles down the road (more than I'd like but we'll handle it :)) that I toured and loved. She went last week for a few hours just to try it out and make sure she is ready academically. She did awesome. Plus they had a dance party and dissected a cow heart...which she is still talking about.
Jefferson is talking up a storm and putting sentences together. He can officially tell me he's hungry at all times of the day and copies everything we say. He also likes to throw things and hit his siblings...which we are working on :) Generally speaking he is the sweetest, cutest, most chill, little boy. He loves to laugh and play and dance around and sing songs from frozen (he pointed to cinderella at costco the other day and said "ELSA!!!!"..you can tell he has a big sister...). He loves cars and airplanes and ALL FOOD. He does amazing in nursery and the leaders just eat him up.
They drive me crazy but I love them so much.
Giving her bro a ride
A winter trip to the zoo. Saying hello to a gorilla.
Fake animals are so much more fun to pose with than real ones ;)
Chinese new year performance at Eastlake
Mommy son time at discount tire. Thank you, Utah for putting toys EVERYWHERE.
and wiped out after all that train playing...
We went up to Sundance with the Wheelers to ride the tow rope. My kids have been on skis and I still Have not. They both did awesome. Harrison LOVED it.
Waiting to throw some snowballs...
Somehow Jefferson decided he was small enough to fit in this little box.
Just a little screen time after work...
