Things with which my child is not amused...

Tummy time--he starts screaming immediately--I'm weak--I pick him up after like 2 minutes..apparently he will not be holding his head up very well for awhile...
Toys--I'm trying to force this ducky on him but he's not really responding --I suppose I could do better quacking noises...
The bumbo auntie april bought for him (so ungrateful! but yet so cute!!!)

I'm hoping Harrison will grow out of this phase soon so I can keep him artificially amused and spend more time doing silly things like showering and reading about media and construction law and partnership taxation....

Oh he's still so little! Just have patience and he will soon grow out of the fussy stage. It won't be long until he is just amazed at looking at toys and mommy and daddy's face and whatever is near him. Beleive me he will grow out of it sooner than you think and next thing you know you can't keep up with him crawling and standing and getting into anything that he can get his hands on!! AHHH!! They grow up way too fast so cherish the little tiny things now! You are doing great and you are the cutest mommy ever!!

Wow...he does hate the bumbo. Nora tried one once. Her thighs didn't fit in it. She takes after her mama.

I always wondered how people with kids showered.

Aw, I have to admit it made me laugh that sad "Awwww, so sad but so adorable" laugh. I'll have to put "tortures small, defenseless children" on my mommy resume! ;)

He's such a sweet little guy!! Our guys like a swing at his age. Have you tried the swing? They are cheaper on Craigslist or at once upon a child. Only 2 out of three preferred it may or may not be amusing. Good LUCK !!

Oh ya and there are those vibrating seats. The one who didn't like the swing liked that. For a moment of showering.

No worries, Michael does the exact same thing with all those. And yes, the swing and the bouncy seat are lifesavers at this point. I think Michael takes most of his naps in his swing right now. I posted a picture of Michael sitting in his Gaco soother bouncy seat and he LOVES it. He's suddenly addicted to the vibrations and annoying music it plays. He'll drift off to sleep but once it stops he'll wake right back up, haha. Anyway, Harrison is a cutie. I love your sling, it looks so cozy. And keep the ducky around. We did the same with a little grey kitty that Alexa got when she was a baby. The kitty has now been named as her "T" (she named it) and is officially part of the family while looking completely thrashed and abused b/c she takes it everywhere. You are doing a great job! Love ya!

Showering is SO overrated!I remember I use to put the kids in their walker in the bathroom with me. I'd throw a handful of cheerios or other puffy snack on the try and jump in the shower. Of course once the food was gone I either had to entertain them with the shower curtain open (I'm sure just that sight was very entertaining in itself) or just call it good. But like Kari said, he's still so little. You feel like you're in this stage forever, but it does pass!! =)
I love reading about how you guys are doing, so keep posting! love you!

I LOVE ALL THE TIPS! THANK YOU!!! We have a swing and it helps sometimes...I discovered the other day that it plays water noise and he does like that...yesterday after a really rough night of A LOT of crying I bought a bouncy seat..he likes it even better than the swing but the vibrating isn't really enough..someone needs to bounce it for him..and continually put the binky back in his mouth--YAY!!! Despite my complaints, he is an adorable baby and we have our good days just as much as bad ones
