It's here!!!!!!!!!

The terrible twos. I think Harrison's rough stage was three but carter has become ridiculous pretty much since her second birthday. One the one hand her language level continually amazes me. She basically talks to us in full sentences and copies absolutely everything anyone says. Good and bad. Some favorites are 'fall down boom boom cry ow,' and when she sings abcs, I love to see the temple and 'happy tertay to you.' She gives the sweetest kisses ever. Her little face is pretty much the most adorable thing I've ever seen.

On the other hand...when she gets riled up she goes CRAZY!! She has to have things exactly her way at all times. She is the princess and we are her servants. She has figured out how to open the fridge and freezer and pull over a chair to get on the counter . If I say no she'll ask daddy and then find a way to do it herself anyway. And more often then not she manipulates us into getting her way. Even when screaming in her room for one more book she says. 'Please ' and speaking of screaming in her room it can last forever. She once cried for 'hot chocolate milk' for an hour.... Sheesh!!!

One day miss carter will be an intelligent powerful woman but for now she's making me bipolar :)

Happy birthday carter !!!

Yes, it's November 4th. Carter turned 2 on October. 26th, 2 days into our cross country jaunt. Now that things have settled a bit (and since we won't have the majority of our stuff until tomorrow), today we celebrated ms. Carter by picking out a present and cake, getting a haircut, playing with friends, eating fries at in n out burger (did I mention there is that and a five guys within 5 minutes of our house ?) and blowing out candles! Yay for carter ! We love how you repeat all you hear, love your brother, sing the Abcs and say 5-4-3-2-1 blast off, and we think you shouting 'mick-don-aw lds ' every time we pass one with so much sheer enthusiasm and delight is just wonderful (especially when all you really know is that they have chocolate milk)-- like Harrison said today. 'I like carter ' yes, we really do. You're sassy and want your way always but we'll keep you. Happy birthday sweetie pie.
Cute hair

Awaiting the chocolate cars cake she picked out. The cashier thought it was for Harrison. Nope, girls like mater too!

Can I eat the grass??? Today- yes!!!

Cute hair from the back!

No pictures please. Harrison. Out.

Goodbye virginia! Hello, Utah!

Well. we're here in Utah . The day we left was nuts, the drive was LONG, and the kids were amazingly well behaved. I bought some little presents to open each day before we started driving which went over very well. ( favorites were a drawing pad and silly putty ). Our nemo read along cd was listened to a lot as well as Sandra boynton's frog trouble (which is adorable ). Charlottes web put the kids to sleep :) We loved visiting the Merrell's, the Hobbs ', and uncle Aaron along the way. Plus the hotel grandma scored for us in Omaha was pretty great too . We arrived in Utah to sunny weather and then this morning it snowed for like four hours straight. Now , of course , it's sunny again. I love love our new house in daybreak . The neighbors are super friendly , trick or treating was ridiculous, and the playground across the street has been great . I've found a preschool for Harrison that seems to be a clone of our old one which he should start m-th sometime this week . I'm hopeful the transition will be easy . Yesterday Cory and I spent all day buying lots of furniture (alone !!! With grandparents watching the kiddos !!!and spending money is so stressful !!!!) and now are spending the afternoon ( ok I'm not ) putting it together.

The only one with the raw deal in this move has been my sweet carter who's had a fever and has basically not slept since we got here (oh wait that's bad for us too ) and urgent care this morning confirmed an ear infection. ( her first ! Thanks Utah ! ) although the urgent care was ridiculously easy and fast. Utahans love their convenience. And food . So far so good.

Carter dressed up like a pioneer at the winter quarters visitor center

Jumping on the hotel bed

Spider-Man- ready to trick or treat

Poor sicky pants. Whose lame mommy misplaced half of her costume....

We've had lots of baths in mommy and daddy's big tub. Cups are way better than tub toys, right???

Home. As of nov 18th when we close. (We are renting from the old owners since we couldn't close on time ). Better be home for awhile. So done with moving.

Before we left va, Harrison's sweet preschool class made him a book with pictures from each kid . One of his favorite friends Ida also made him a cute card and gave him a goodbye present . We left behind so many wonderful friends! (Definitely cried at school more than once that last week as well as when I told Harrison's wonderful sunbeam teacher we were leaving) Bittersweet,  but I'm excited to see what's in store for us next!!

Cute book from mrs mclains m-f pre k

" I miss you " from Ida. And they are both crying :(

Sweet friends on the last day of school. Vilem, Lexi, lexis sister Jillian, Ida , and Harrison.
