unloading some pictures

I was going through i photo and found some pics I meant to post but never did. SO ..here ya go.
Just learning to walk...and dirty... as usual...
baby feet
I love green grass. I go to great lengths to get green grass. It takes extra effort out here in AZ to make green happen. I took cory to five guys that recently opened out here (he liked it, I relished it..and the DC memories it conjured up ) and we found a park behind the shopping center.
The boy loves to push things around. Usually it's me, sometimes it's a stroller.
Emily and Jonas came to town in January and we went to the Children's museum and Jonas and Harrison spent some quality time together at our house....I think they totally hit it off despite the 6 month age difference. Makes me wish they lived here so H man and J man could be BFFs just like their daddies--we miss you guys!!!!
Last week I was trying to get through a rather extensive USA jobs application and rather than hold him back I decided to cut my losses and let Harrison arrange the contents of the recycle garbage all over the floor.
And he had fun with various legal study guides....loves the evidence map
How did my checkbook get on the floor???
what??? garbage and the contents of your purse are just more fun than toys-

STUD-LY

I've been meaning to post pics of harrison in this adorable outfit we got from Aaron and Stephanie for his birthday. LOVE IT. LOVE THEM. LOVE HIM.

Daddy is making a funny face...but don't they look so cute all ready for church?? And yeah--sometimes I make his hair stick straight up. For fun.

Already the shirt is untucked and he looks like he's spilled something on it. We hadn't even left the house yet.

Adventurer

I love getting to know more and more of Harrison's personality as he gets older. Those traits that are just so unquestionably HIM. Harrison is someone who does what he wants to do when he wants to do it. And he is ALL BOY for sure---In a few years I will definitely be pulling rock collections and dead frogs out of his pants pockets when he come home from school. Today we went to the park and he was not at all interested in the awesome (way better than when I was a kid) jungle gym, slides, or other kid stuff. And when other kids came to play they only amused him for like 30 seconds. Instead he was way more into....

Tromping across the fields
Playing with rocks...and sticks
Some rocks are cooler than others...the best ones should be taken with you wherever you go

Exploring different plant species
And sidewalk variations at the nearby recycling center

I wish I got some pics of his foray into puddles...but you'll have to picture it.

I did get one baby butt crack picture to show future girlfriends though :)

I am now 13 months and 6 days...that means...

I can climb up on stuff!!! I LOVE to climb up on everything. Like tables, and shelves...and this step ladder. Getting down is a little more tough-I want to just jump off but mommy and daddy seem to think that is a bad idea.

I've discovered that putting stuff around my neck (cords, towels, whatever) is SO fun!

I can open a package of Ramen noodles and eat it-YUMMY!!! (mommy thought this was a fluke until it was confirmed to her a second time..)

I can open drawers and reach in. Even if I can't see inside I'm sure there is something fun like makeup, toothpaste, a box of theraflu that I can play with.

If I manage to get my hands on some chapstick I've totally figured out how to get the lid off--SWEET!!!

If for some reason Red Robin won't let me sit in a high chair I can sit in a booster--so fun to be in the middle of the action!

I can visit every family in our ward during church. The ones with kids and food and way cool toys are the most fun :) I don't understand why other people that can walk stay in their chairs??? SO BORING!!

I can do baby sign language--mommy and daddy taught me a bit late because they got fed up with pointing and whining when I wanted something. At least now I can say "more" and "eat" and "drink" ...and "all gone" once in awhile.

I'm learning all kinds of new sounds and words. I'm a pro at dada, sometimes say mama (nana) when I'm mad, and have been heard to say truck, hi, eat, oh, woah, and of course kitty (ditty)

oh yeah and walking is awesome--I pretty much don't crawl at all now. And I've mastered getting from sitting from standing without help. YAY me!!!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!

Daredevil

Since Harrison started walking like a champ we've been going to the park a lot. He LOVES it. Today I got some video of him playing around. He has no fear. Such a boy.

the obligatory spaghetti pictures

I can't believe I didn't feed my child spaghetti until this week. It's just because I'm the kind of mom who doesn't think about what to feed Harrison for dinner until it's time to feed him. He of course LOVED it and had it the next night too.
